When the vase is finished, I remove it from the punti with a sharp tap, leaving it to rest on a ceramic fiber blanket. I use a blowtorch to smooth the foot where the punti was broken off. | ;) |
| With a kevlar glove, I put the vase into the annealing oven where it will slowly cool overnight. | ;) |
When the vase has cooled, I polish the bottom of the foot if necessary and sign my work with an engraving tool. |
